The award honours reviewers who consistently offer thoughtful, constructive, and timely feedback that supports the development of high-quality scholarship in their field.

Dr Samantha Friedman is a lecturer in Applied Psychology at the University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on critical perspectives on autism, nature, and wellbeing. She is particularly interested in supporting autistic and otherwise neurodivergent young people through naturebased learning and play.

I am delighted and honoured to receive this award from JAEOL. Being a reviewer for the journal has been a hugely positive experience, and I particularly appreciate how supported I have felt by the editorial team through my several years of reviewing for them. As a qualitative researcher, it is clear to me that the journal cares about high-quality, rigorous qualitative research and reviews which help to uphold this standard.
