Scotland covers the country’s rich and diverse landscape from the sprawling Borders, Mountains of the Cairngorms, Glen Coe and the wild North, to the spectacular west coast and islands including remote and windswept Orkney and Shetland Isles. Wilderness, Wildlife and challenge abound in all shapes and sizes. Scotland’s Outdoor community are well spread throughout providing a range of learning experiences and journeys.

Rhiaghaltas na h-Alba - Scottish Government Engagement

Call for Views: Schools (Residential Outdoor Education) (Scotland) Bill - Liz Smith MSP introduced this Member’s Bill on 20th June 2024. It will establish that all pupils in state and grant-aided schools will have the chance to experience at least four nights and five days of residential outdoor education during their school career.
