Pro-Active Adventure has been delivering high quality activity residential outdoor education breaks for schools and youth groups since 2000. Residential activity programmes are individually designed to suit school groups from Year 1 upwards. We are recognised leaders in the provision of “Real Adventure” through Outdoor Education. Our School Activity Trips in Wales will engage pupils in traditional adventure activities that will: Inspire, develop trust and self-esteem. However, we also provide outdoor activities for corporate development events and family groups.

Outdoor Education has long been recognised in being beneficial to enhance confidence, support communication skills and develop team building. Pro-Active Adventure have a team of professionally qualified instructors that will bring out the best of these positive attributes in pupils attending any of our Residential Outdoor Education School Trips. We work closely with the YHA and the Independent Hostels Association to give you one of the most extensive choice’s of outdoor activity destinations for your school summer residential, unparalleled by other providers in Wales. We cater for school groups of all ages and levels of ability, programmes are specifically developed with you, to meet the individual needs of your pupils.
Our speciality is providing flexible residential school activity trips employing “Real Activities” in the outdoor environment that will engage and challenge pupils, to enable positive development in team work and confidence. We do not use plastic climbing walls, or extensively use low level on-site activities that could be provided by teachers on the school playing field. We offer real activities in the real outdoor environment for a real adventure experience! We pride ourselves on providing traditional outdoor education that is safe but has not removed all the excitement of challenging activities.
To enable us to operate at such a high level we employ only the most experienced of instructors. All hold at least three years post qualification experience. Most hold many more years experience. Having such experienced instructors mean that your pupils will stay with the same instructor for the duration of their stay. This enables a greater level of trust to be developed and a greater level of achievement made by your pupils. Our instructors remain with us season after season, thus delivering continuity in professional practice. When they are not working at one of our many activity delivery central locations, you will find them out on the hills, rivers and rock faces of Wales, and indeed the world doing what they love and live for. For our instructors this is not just a job it is a way of life. “You have to live the dream, to be able to share the dream!”
All our outdoor activity programmes are flexible and can be modified and changed to suit your individual needs. We are even happy to change the level of challenge once you have joined us if needs be. Should your pupils need to either step back a little or extend their challenge we will change the level of challenge of the outdoor education plan to maximize their potential, and gain the most positive sense of achievement.
