Biography
Based in Sandiway, Cheshire, Venturewood is an inclusive outdoor education centre providing high-quality outdoor education for all ages and abilities.
Formerly known as Petty Pool Outdoor Education Centre, Venturewood is part of The Petty Pool Trust family, alongside Petty Pool College, Petty Pool in the Community, Autism Practical Support and The Ground Up Project.
Set within 40 acres of Cheshire woodland the Venturewood at Petty Pool site has over 20 years’ experience delivering safe, supportive outdoor education through day visits and residential programmes.
The centre offers a wide range of inclusive activities including abseiling, den building, canoeing, problem solving and team building activities.
Personal development opportunities through Venturewood enable enriching and challenging activities, that can enhance self-esteem and personal growth in a protective, though challenging environment, in which young people can thrive, grow and achieve their potential.
Programmes are carefully designed to be accessible to all, inspiring participants as they work their way through the course.
Inclusive activities help develop key life skills through adventurous experiences in the natural world that follow a sustainable approach. Each session is tailored to individual needs and led by experienced, dedicated staff.
