Biography
Kilve Court is superbly located, walking distance from a stunning area of outstanding national beauty (AONB) on the Quantock Hills and the coast at Kilve beach, so, as you can imagine, your group will have a fantastic all-round, outdoor experience with us.
The original Georgian mansion has been sympathetically extended and updated to become the impressive flagship for SSE Outdoors that it is today. Priding itself on excellent delivery of outdoor education and enrichment since 1962 and being the head office base for all the SSE Outdoor centres, Kilve Court can accommodate 120 people.
Staying with us...
Each school group has its own meeting room and separate sleeping accommodation block. Room sizes vary from twins to large dormitories sleeping 12. Toilets and showers on each corridor and sinks in each room. There is plenty of space for groups to do their own thing with over 40 acres of land to explore, classroom areas, a souvenir shop, drying rooms and additional group spaces for activities or games.
Like all our centres, Kilve Court is a nut free site and we take great care to adapt your group menu to any individual dietary requirements and allergies you may have. There are three hot meals a day on offer in the dining room along with juice and a snack at break times.
Our activities
In addition to the enormous variety of exciting outdoor activities on offer, in 2020, work begins on Kilve’s very own lake for onsite kayaking and Paddle boarding. We are confident when you come to Kilve Court both teachers and students really won’t want to leave!
