If teaching about the importance of Hydration and Nutrition on days out and expeditions is an important - then so is teaching about Excretion.

We all know how we do it ourselves - but is this the only way? the best way? The right way for everyone?


Discussing the issues, developing best practice and signposting to some resources and ways to approach what can be a bit of a socially-awkward conversation when people are not used to discussing such things!

Who is it for?
Anyone who takes groups out into the countryside away from toilets - whether for a day, or a week.
Anyone who currently avoids having to brief a group, or their teachers and parents,  about to what to do if …….  
Anyone who trains outdoor professionals
Anyone who wants to be more aware of best practice.

Challenging our thinking about discussing excretion and personal hygiene in outdoor and remote environments

Increased awareness of issues around toileting, menstruation and personal hygiene in the context of various outdoor learning environments and different client needs.
