Bush Adventures UK C.I.C is seeking a dynamic and passionate Instructor, or the right individual seeking a career change, to join our growing team in Thetford.

Whilst qualifications and experience are beneficial, we encourage applicants from all backgrounds and training can be provided for the right person. 

Position Overview
As an instructor, you will plan and lead safe, exciting and educational outdoor experiences for schools and leisure groups. You will play a central role in planning, leading, and supporting a variety of outdoor activities, while upholding the high standards and ethos of Bush Adventures UK C.I.C.

Key Responsibilities
•    Deliver high-quality, inclusive outdoor sessions tailored to children and youth with SEMH needs.
•    Independently deliver high-quality sessions for leisure and corporate clients. 
•    Conduct dynamic risk assessments and manage group safety in real time.
•    Lead and support junior staff and volunteers, encouraging a strong team ethos.
•    Assist in planning, preparation, and the upkeep of equipment and session spaces.
•    Represent the organisation with professionalism in all interactions with clients and community members.
•    Seek opportunities for growth and development via engagement with clients and communities at all opportunities.

What We’re Looking For
•    Someone with the right character strengths to empower and support individuals to overcome challenges and adversity, and provide immersive and adventurous experiences. 
•    Confidence in leading activities and engaging diverse groups.
•    Passion to work with young people with behavioural, social, emotional and mental health needs, and additional learning needs such as Autism and ADHD.
•    Effective communication and teamwork skills.
•    First Aid and Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete during induction).
•    A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude with a passion for the great outdoors, from nature to adventure
•    Someone willing to learn and work towards relevant qualifications and grow a career within the organisation
