The Role
We’re looking for an inspiring Outdoor Instructor to join the City of Edinburgh Council’s Benmore Outdoor Centre team.
Your mission? To deliver high-quality adventurous activities and outdoor learning experiences for:
- School children from Edinburgh and beyond (core)
- Youth groups, organisations & charities (commercial)
What You’ll Be Doing
As part of our experienced team, you’ll plan and deliver adventurous activities with clear development opportunities and learning outcomes for every group.
- Take groups into the wild and inspiring landscapes of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park
- Use your skills, experience, and qualifications to tailor activities and venues to meet the needs of each group
- Play an active role in developing both yourself and the centre’s future

National Governing Body Qualifications:
Essential
- Summer Mountain Leader
- Rock Climbing instructor
- British Canoeing Paddle Sport Instructor & Touring leader or equivalents
- British Cycling Level 2 or equivalent

Desirable
- RYA Dingy Instructor
- RYA powerboat level 2
- D1 Minibus driving entitlement
- Gorge walking and Caving experience
