AE Client & Programme Manager at Adventure Expeditions
We are looking for an experienced Client and Programme Manager to join our friendly team in Hathersage in the Peak District.
Adventure Expeditions is a not-for-profit organisation delivering outdoor education programmes for young people. Adventure Expertise is part of the same operation and works predominantly with adults delivering National Governing Body (NGB) training and assessment courses, outdoor skills courses and development and guiding. Adventure Expeditions and Adventure Expertise are one organisation with different areas of operation, are both not-for-profit and collectively referred to as ‘AE’. AE’s organisational aim is to give as many young people as possible the opportunity to take part in outdoor adventurous activities for the lasting experiences and developmental benefits that programmes can have.
AE is based in Hathersage in the Peak District National Park and we are looking for a full-time Client & Programme Manager to join our friendly, busy team. This is an exciting role working alongside AE’s client management team and covers a range of client management, client communications and related business operations.
The right candidate will have a commitment to excellent client care and existing experience in a customer focused role. They will be passionate about facilitating high quality learning experiences for young people in the outdoors and committed to demonstrating this through the client management journey through attention to detail, relationship building and working within a supportive team. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, ability to work on own initiative within organisational structures and someone who feels happy in a busy, dynamic work environment.
As part of AE’s team, you will join:
- An experienced, friendly team: Working in a supportive environment and within a team that care about the development of young people, how the impact of outdoor development can be widened by reducing barriers to accessing the outdoors and reducing the impact made on outdoor environment that we operate in;

- Annual leave enhancement - Christmas/New Year Shutdown: On top of your contractual annual leave, AE adds a Christmas/New Year Shutdown period each year -employees do not need to use annual leave to take time off between Christmas and New Year. The dates vary according to year but that usually equates to in the region of 6 working days of additional leave;
- Additional benefits: Traditionally these have been in the form of bonuses paid through payroll or enhanced contributions to pensions. Going forward, AE is developing greater options to help you tailor any additional benefits to suit your preferences and lifestyle better.
Contract term: This is a permanent post
Remuneration: AE salary range: £26,000 - £29,000 pro rata
Working hours: Monday – Friday 9:00 – 17:00 (options for flexible working open to discussion as needed).
