Are you someone who loves the outdoors and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a friendly, practical Residential Site Manager to join the team at Nell Bank Outdoor Education Centre, a much-loved charity that helps children learn, play and grow through outdoor experiences.
Nestled in a beautiful 30-acre site on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, Nell Bank is a special place where thousands of children each year discover the joy of nature. For the better performance of the job this is a live-in role, offering comfortable accommodation and the chance to live and work in one of the most scenic spots in Yorkshire.
What you’ll be doing
As our Site Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the centre – keeping our buildings, grounds and facilities safe, tidy and welcoming. Every day will be different, from carrying out repairs and maintenance to helping prepare for visiting groups and supporting the wider team.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the day-to-day running, maintenance and security of the site.
General monitoring of the site during evening and weekends, occasionally responding to out of hours requests for emergency support.
Carrying out or coordinating repairs and checks
Supporting health and safety and site compliance
Working with staff and volunteers to make sure everything runs smoothly for our visitors
Helping plan and deliver site improvements and projects
