Who are Ackers Adventure?
Ackers Adventure is a charity based in Birmingham who provide Outdoor activities at our centre in Sparkbrook, Birmingham We work with a whole range of customers from Schools, Corporate and private sectors.
About the Role
Ackers Adventure is looking for a confident, outgoing and creative Sales and Marketing Officer with a strong ability to network across all Ackers Adventures teams. This fast paced, strategic, and dynamic role is perfect for someone who thrives on thinking on their feet and solving problems.
This is a refreshingly varied role developing original ideas that showcase the incredible work we do across our centre for adults and children . This role is all about thinking differently to help increase occupancy, finding unique ways to tell the story of our services.
Working closely with our customer services and operational colleagues, the successful candidate will be responsible for crafting service-specific campaigns, producing compelling content, and driving innovative sales activity that will grow our business.
Key Responsibilities
Focus on sales activity to seek out and secure new business.
Create campaigns and follow up with direct sales activity to secure new bookings Support our centres with targeted marketing materials and campaigns. Monitor performance of campaigns and use insights to refine and improve future activity.
Identify and generate new business opportunities through research, cold calling, and networking.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handover of new clients and account management.
Contact lapsed or inactive customers to encourage repeat business and promote new products.
Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and KPIs.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity in the CRM system.
Prepare sales reports and provide updates to management on pipeline progress.
Attend client meetings, or events to support sales initiatives and brand promotion.
What We're Looking For:
Target-driven with a proactive, self-motivated approach.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Confident in contacting new and lapsed customers to generate sales.
At least 2 years’ experience in a direct sales environment.
Knowledge of the UK education system. Particularly learning outside the classroom.
Experience using Canva, or similar design tools. (Further training and development can be provided)
Collaborative with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proactive, creative thinker who is solutions-focused and keen to make an impact.
Interest in Outdoor activities.
