Permanent, offered on a 0.5 (19.5hr) basis.
Salary: £30,279.96 (£15,139.98 pro-rata) per annum.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Outdoor Education Instructor to join our team at a well-established, high-quality outdoor education centre in the heart of the Lake District National Park. This role is key to delivering quality, cross-curricular outdoor programs to a diverse range of visitors, including young people, families, youth, and community groups. You will use the medium of outdoor activities to build self-esteem, promote social cohesion, and foster learning about the local environment. The position offered will be on a 0.5 (19.5hr) basis
Essential Experience & Qualifications Experience
A minimum of three years' experience as a full-time Outdoor Education Instructor.
Required Qualifications You must hold all of the following:
- Mountain Leader Award (Summer)
- Rock Climbing Instructor (RCI) (or Single Pitch Award - SPA)
- Paddlesport Coaching Award (e.g., British Canoeing/UKCC Level 2 Coach, or equivalent with Open Water Endorsement)
- Powerboat Level 2 Current 16-Hour
- First Aid Certificate (relevant to outdoor instructing)
- Full Driving Licence
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
Candidates holding one or more of the following will be highly regarded:
- Dinghy Instructor (RYA)
- D1 Minibus Licence
- Local Cave Leader Level 1
- Stand Up Paddleboard Open Water Leader
- Safety Boat Certificate (RYA)
