A bit about the role
Scout Adventures is entering an exciting new chapter, with bold plans to grow our reach and impact in 2025 and beyond. At Youlbury – our second-largest centre – we’re building on a successful summer and investing in our site, activities, and volunteer experience.
We're on a mission to become the go-to adventure experience for Scout members, offering high-quality programmes for young people and exceptional support for our volunteer leaders — all powered by an inspiring, multi-cultural team of young adult volunteers through our renowned residential programme.
At Youlbury, investment in our infrastructure, customer journey, and activities means we're in a strong position to build on the momentum of a successful 2026 summer season. As our second-largest delivery centre, Youlbury is set to grow as a hub for unforgettable outdoor learning in Oxfordshire.
The Centre Manager role is central to that success. You’ll lead a dedicated site team and a global volunteer community to deliver exceptional, safe, and adventurous experiences. This live-in role is about more than operations — it’s about people. You’ll motivate and develop staff and volunteers, make decisions that shape outcomes, and see the direct impact of your leadership every day.
As part of the Scout Adventures team, you'll benefit from meaningful support, national collaboration, and a culture that invests in your growth as a leader. With opportunities to progress into larger centres or new roles across the network, this is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to make your mark and be part of something truly special.
