Biography
The Deanfield Outdoor Centre is a residential outdoor education centre based at Parkend in the Forest of Dean. We are owned and operated by the council's Trading with Schools Service.
What we offer
Outdoor Learning Activities including Outdoor Pursuits and Environmental Field Studies
Courses for primary schools, secondary schools and corporate groups
CPD and Inset Courses for Teachers
Residential courses for up to 84 students and 10 visiting staff
Day visits for up to 108 students at a time
Mobile events in schools specialising in team building and peer mentoring
Conferencing and meeting room facilities
Self-catering or catered options for weekend and holiday groups

Activities
All course are bespoke and tailor made to meet the needs and desired outcomes of the group.
Length of Course can vary from a day visit to a 3 or 5 day residential.
We have a range of Outdoor Learning activities that schools and other organisations can chose from including the following:
High Challenge Activities including, Zip Wire, Climbing Tower, Crate Stack, Jacobs Ladder, High Ropes Traverse and Leap of Faith
Other Instructor led activities such as Bushcraft, Canoeing, Coracle Building & Relay Racing, Archery and Axe Throwing
Surrounded by the Forest of Dean with local Forest and Stream Walks, Treasure Hunts, Orienteering Courses and Shelter Building.
In grounds Tunnels System, Team Challenges and Low Ropes Course

Costs
Courses represent excellent value for money and are priced according to time of year, length of stay, group size and activity programme.
A fully inclusive 3 day course starts from £132 per hour and 5 day course from £240 per hour.
