Overview:
Reaseheath College is a forward-thinking and dynamic College providing an excellent educational experience to over 4,500 students each year. The Sport and Public Services department delivers a diverse range of industry-focused programmes, equipping learners with the practical skills, knowledge and experience required for careers within the outdoor education, adventure sports, sport and public services sectors. The department is committed to developing confident, capable and career-ready learners.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Outdoor Instructor to join our Sport and Public Services team. This exciting role involves delivering high-quality practical instruction, coaching and assessment across a range of outdoor and adventurous activities. You will support learners in developing their technical skills, confidence and industry knowledge while ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
The successful candidate will work with learners across a variety of programmes, including full-time, part-time and short-course provision, and contribute to residentials, expeditions, competitions and wider College activities.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification and Level 2 English and Maths.
- Have a wider practical industry experience in outdoor adventurous activities.
- Hold relevant outdoor qualifications, including Outdoor First Aid, Hill and Moorland Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor and Paddlesport NGB’s
- Hold a Full UK driving license with D1 entitlement
- Demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
- Be passionate about supporting learners and committed to continuous professional development.

- Additional higher-level NGB’s
- D1 + E entitlement
