MAKE THE WORK YOUR OWN

You'll work consistently with the same young person, giving you the opportunity to build a strong working relationship and develop a genuinely progressive programme.

We give our instructors the freedom to choose appropriate venues and activities and shape sessions around the interests, needs and educational outcomes of each student.

Sessions could include climbing, paddlesports, walking and navigation, mountain biking, bushcraft, bouldering or other activities within your qualifications and experience.

You'll work independently day-to-day, with support from the Skylark team whenever you need it.

THE ROLE

• £165 per day
• Typically 9:30am–2:30pm
• Regular work throughout the academic year
• Opportunities across Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Devon
• Progressive 1:1 work with the same student
• Freedom to choose appropriate activities and venues
• 25p/mile when transporting pupils, up to £15/day

We're looking for instructors with relevant outdoor/NGB qualifications, Outdoor First Aid and experience working with young people.

Experience with SEND, SEMH or alternative provision is desirable, but just as important is the ability to build relationships, adapt sessions and engage young people through the outdoors.

You don't need to be qualified in every activity – we're interested in instructors from a range of outdoor backgrounds.

A full driving licence, suitable vehicle and appropriate insurance are required. Enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks will also apply.
