Carlingford Adventure Centre and Skypark Carlingford welcome thousands of guests each year, from schools and families to corporate teams and international visitors. We deliver unforgettable experiences across Land, Sea, and Sky activities, complemented by high-quality accommodation, catering, and events.
We are seeking a Centre Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across Carlingford Adventure Centre, Skypark Carlingford, and Carlingford Holiday Homes. This is a hands-on senior leadership role combining operational oversight, people management, and guest experience delivery. You will lead a large, multi-disciplinary team to ensure every visitor enjoys a safe, seamless, and memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support departmental leads across activities, catering, housekeeping, front of house, maintenance, and guest services.
- Oversee daily operations across adventure activities (Land, Sea, Sky), accommodation (336 beds), food service (up to 450 covers), and special events.
- Ensure full health and safety compliance and champion a proactive safety culture.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest service.
- Manage rotas, budgets, stock, and resources for smooth, efficient operations.
- Deliver flagship events such as Adventure Lights, corporate programmes, and seasonal activities.
- Work with Sales & Marketing to coordinate offers, events, and guest communications.
- Drive continuous improvement in service, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
- Be financially accountable for centre performance and results.
- Lead by example, building a hands-on, high-performance culture grounded in teamwork and accountability.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ management experience in adventure, hospitality, or tourism operations.
- Proven success leading multi-department teams and high-volume operations.
- Strong background in health and safety, compliance, and guest service delivery.
- Confident in budget management, staff planning, and operational systems.
- Degree in Business, Hospitality, or Operations Management (or equivalent experience).
- Inspirational leader with strong people and communication skills.
- Proactive problem solver with a focus on operational excellence.
- Flexible and resilient, available to work evenings and weekends as part of a management rota.
