THE LOCATION
Tees Barrage International White Water Centre is Teesside’s award-winning home of adventure. This magnificent centre of activity can be found on the banks of the River Tees between Stockton and Middlesbrough and offers a unique variety of watersports for the whole family from Stand Up Paddleboarding to White Water Rafting, Bell Boating, Paddlesports, Powerboat Trips and so much more.
Tees Barrage is also home to NorthShore Water Sports, the ultimate kayaking and canoeing store as well as Air Trail, the UK’s biggest high ropes adventure course.
THE ROLE
The role will predominantly include delivery of kayaking, open canoeing, raft building, bell boating to a wide variety of customers. Along with helping with the smooth day to day operation of the venue.
This position requires applications from those over 18 years of age due to operational requirements.
ABOUT YOU
You must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with a varied range of customers of different ages and ability.
Essential Skills/Qualifications
- Paddle UK Paddlesport Instructor or higher (must keep qualifications updated)
- Safeguarding certificate (can be gained through Tees Active)
- First Aid Certificate.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enjoy interacting and motivating customers to build their confidence and skills.
The successful applicants will be required to have DBS enhanced checks.
