Join one of the fastest-growing therapeutic outdoor Alternative Provisions in the region.

TAO Activities is expanding rapidly across multiple local authorities and we are looking for passionate, adventurous and therapeutic-minded staff to grow with us.

This is an opportunity to work within a highly respected outdoor Alternative Provision supporting vulnerable young people through relationships, adventure, mentoring and real-world experiences.

Unlike many traditional education settings, no two days are the same. Sessions may include climbing, bushcraft, canoeing, mountain biking, walking, mentoring, outdoor projects and therapeutic activities designed to help young people re-engage with education and life.

We are particularly looking for staff who:

• Naturally build strong relationships with young people

• Stay calm under pressure

• Enjoy the outdoors and active working environments

• Want meaningful work that genuinely changes lives

• Prefer practical, relationship-based work over classroom-only approaches

• Want flexibility alongside other work or commitments

TAO has supported many staff in progressing into careers including teaching, youth work, therapeutic services, policing and outdoor education leadership.

We pride ourselves on maintaining high standards, strong safeguarding culture and a supportive team environment while still retaining the personality, flexibility and adventurous nature that makes outdoor Alternative Provision unique.
