Together For Our Planet – The UK’s Year Of Climate Action
This November the UK will partner with Italy to host the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in Glasgow and bring together world leaders to commit to urgent global climate action.
The scientific community is in agreement that there is a process of climate change happening as a result of human activity. As a sector, we must all work to minimise the impact of our activities and work with Government and other land users, owners and managers to protect the environment, mitigate climate change and the loss of biodiversity.
Outdoor Professionals are ideally placed to influence and educate the children, young people and adults we come into contact with about climate change and biodiversity threats, impact and possible solutions.
For the month leading up to COP26 IOL would like to share your 'top tips' for helping to take action on climate change, either in your role as an Outdoor Professional, a business, an organisation, or an individual with a passion for the outdoors.
We will share 31 ideas, calls for action from our MP's and World Leaders, and pledges for the future through social media and newsletters throughout October.
