Update from NCS Trust
An update today from NCS Trust below. This is word for word and covers both phases 1 and 2 so for an outdoor activity provider context read 'venue' as 'provider'. It also may be helpful to clarify what the Trust means by Management Partners and Delivery Partners. These are the 'old' national and regional organisations you will have already have worked with if you deliver NCS Phase 1. The Challenge, for example, is a Management Partner.
Further to the procurement in June 2019 , the Trust is now pleased to announce that Invasion Camp Group Ltd will be our Accommodation Booking Partner for Phase 1 and 2 bookings from Summer 2020 onwards.
Invasion Camp Group will work closely with the Trust to book venues that fall within the agreed baseline standards and price controls nationally.
Over the past 3 weeks, Invasion Camp have been training and on-boarding their team with support from the Trust and will have made some preliminary market enquiries. Going forward venues wishing to be part of 2020 NCS delivery should actively engage with Invasion Camp as they ramp up market engagement with all prospective suppliers.
Roles and responsibilities
The Trust / Invasion Camp Group are responsible for:
Phase 1 - Activities, Accommodation and Food
Phase 2 - Accommodation only (venues to signpost options for day venues and catering)
Please note all spend related to the above will be managed centrally and therefore Delivery Partners in the network will be unable to book NCS accommodation direct with venues.
A number of residential venues have flagged that Delivery Partners have engaged them directly to hold or pre-book sites for 2020. Whilst this may be helpful to the Trust for indicative purposes, Delivery Partners and Management Partners will be required to express accommodation preferences on the designated NCS Trust forms.
The Trust will oversee procurement of high-quality activities, accommodation and resources for Phase 1 and 2, taking into account operational, financial and strategic priorities at national level.
IOL and AHOEC continue to work together to support the sector in working with NCS. If you have any queries or observations you think would be helpful in that work please contact the IOL office.
