Neal Anderson has stepped down as IOL Professional Standards Manager

At this stage of the maturing of IOL, the leading task is the merging of 4 representative organisations. In order to manage priorities, further work on professional standards has been paused. Neal Anderson has stepped away from his role so that the next stages of development for IOL and the wider sector, whatever they may be, can be completed as cleanly and as efficiently as possible.


I would like to take this opportunity to thank Neal for the contribution he has made in developing the services IOL has to offer our members which has ranged from setting the standards for the Professional Services that we offer to being part of developing the apprenticeship programme for the whole outdoor sector to name just a few of his accomplishments.  Achieving the status of being recognised as a Chartered body and continued professional development is still very much part of our vision for the future, which is only possible because of the foundations that Neal has built.
