Queen’s College, Taunton is one of the leading independent boarding schools based in the South West of the country, educating more than 500 plus boys and girls (day and boarding), aged 3 months to 18 years, and is part of the Methodist Independent Schools Trust.

Graduate Outdoor Pursuits and Boarding Assistant

Full-time, Term Time Only (including weekends)

Fixed Term for one year

 

We are looking to recruit a Graduate Outdoor Pursuits and Boarding Assistant for one of our boarding houses to start in September 2021. The role is responsible for supporting the Boarding Houseparent in all matters relating to the pastoral welfare of the pupils in their care. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of residential community life in a caring environment. They will also have excellent interpersonal skills and be organised and flexible. Alongside this role we are looking to recruit someone who is passionate about working in the outdoors and is keen to gain experience delivering a challenging and varied adventure programme in a school setting. It would also provide opportunities for professional development and the gaining of further NGB qualifications. This role comes with accommodation.

This opportunity provides a real insight into working in an Independent School, with the aim of developing their skills and experience to pursue their chosen career.
