Outdoor Education Contractor - BeVenturesome (South East) - £120 a day

Outdoor Education Contractor

We're seeking an Outdoor Education Contractor and other freelancers in the South East. Mostly based in Surrey Hills or within an hours drive. It's 3 to 4 day a week contract between April and July and counting as bookings come in. We're also looking for freelancers to do some less frequent days. £120 a day with potential for more for a managerial position.

Closing date 12th April but we are looking for someone ASAP. Lowland Leaders (or above/ equivalent) and experience delivering outdoor education.

Please see HERE for a list of dates and more details.

Email with a CV and a covering letter to apply.

We are looking for outdoor education enthusiasts to work on a contract & freelance basis to deliver to schools over the summer term 2021 (April to July). Most bookings are in the Surrey Hills or within an hours drive.

The outdoor education work...

You’ll be delivering our onsite Team Building Days and Adventure Education Courses as part of our Bounceback Basecamps campaign.

Team Building days are on schools sites and use our theme of Leadership & Followership which you can deliver in your own way (training provided).

The Adventure Education Courses are essentially treks in the home county countryside where we have the freedom to deliver exciting outdoor and adventure days. We have themes for these days around camp craft, expedition planning, navigation, team work, countryside management, wildlife ID, wellness, conservation etc. It would be great to know where your experience, enthusiasm and expertise lie on these.

We’d like 1 or 2 people who can deliver the majority of the 27 and counting days (see dates below) we have booked and freelancers some of the bookings. There is more work available to anyone who can do all the dates and would like to help with experience development and delivery management. There is potential for a near full time 3-month contract for the right person. In due course, we hope this to be a full time position.

Bookings are generally 2 to 6 days long working with the same pupils, so it is a great chance to work closely with pupils at a time they need the outdoors the most!

Pay - £120 a day. Potentially more if you can fulfil a more managerial position.

16-hour first aid & Enhanced DBS

Lowland Leader or above (or equivalent)

Experience with bushcraft, forest school and outdoor education very preferable

Paddle Sport Instructor (not essential)

You must be based in the South East
