Project Coordinator (Adventure Training- Soldier Development)

Entrust Support Services Ltd. 


LOCATION: Riverway, Stafford (some requirement to travel to delivery locations)

PERIOD: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £22,000-£25,000 dependant on experience and qualifications





Entrust Outdoors is a highly motivated company, with a well-qualified and experienced staff team that shares a clear view going forward of growth and diversification, delivering the highest quality outdoor and adventurous activities in a sustainable and commercial way. 


Following a recent contract award, Entrust will be delivering adventure training programmes on behalf of the British Army from April 2021. The programmes provide a challenging means through which recruits are exposed to a climate of achievement and self-development, under controlled risk, in often challenging and austere outdoor settings. In this environment, the students are to be inspired, by example, to display initiative, develop self-confidence, physical and moral courage, resilience and determination, leadership skills and improved functional skills that directly enhance ‘military capability’ and are aligned to Army standards and values.


We are currently looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Project Coordinator who will be able to take the lead role in the coordination of operational and support services as part of the Soldier Development activities delivered to the British Army.



Work to the highest professional standards, supporting others to achieve outstanding levels of performance

Coordinate and contribute to regular operational meetings, including identifying and tracking areas of risk and ensuring allocated actions are followed through and completed

Demonstrate effective cost control

Coordinate the onboarding process of supplier instructors

Maintain current and comprehensive records and support the Contracts Manager and Senior Operations Manager to produce reports as required

Engage colleagues and stakeholders through clear and constructive communication

Communicate both upwards and downwards on the key issues to ensure things get done

Gather and collate information using various forms of communication to create reports and contract performance review documents

React promptly and positively to events and circumstances, finding innovative solutions that support in achieving desired outcomes

Seek to improve the way we do business through careful planning, organisation and implementation

Support the development of systems and processes to deliver improvements across the business

Work effectively to ensure jobs are completed through effective time, task and team management

Input information into a central people’s database and support the allocation suitable staff to programmes

When relevant have a presence at the delivery venues to support with contract compliance

Contribute to the development of cross-functional working

Be an active team member, supporting colleagues to develop individual and team strengths and weaknesses to achieve business goals

Attend identified training and professional development activities, maintaining an active awareness of current national standards and the setting of good practice

Undertake additional duties as required, within reason and commensurate with your role, and within your areas of competency and expertise



High personal standards in presentation, communication and delivering customer service  

Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to communicate through a wide range of methods

Good IT skills - including Excel



Current and UK Driving Licence with a D1+E 

Experience of working in the Outdoor Industry

Experience of staff recruitment

Experience of Outdoor activity programme planning

Previous Joint Services Adventure Training experience or British Army Adventure Training experience


Entrust vetting, Enhanced DBS, Baseline Personal Security Screening, Ministry of Defence vetting, and British Army induction requirements will need to be completed for this role.
