Hours of work: 32.5 hours per week
Working pattern: Part-time
Fixed term for: Monday 16 March 2020 - Sunday 1 November 2020

Salary - £19,946 to £20,751 pro rata.

Closing date: Sunday 8 December 2020

This role includes weekend working which entitles you to additional pay.

Job Introduction

Buzz Active is a part of the East Sussex county Council’s learning outside the classroom portfolio with three outdoor centers located on Eastbourne seafront, and in the Cuckmere valley, near Seaford and at Bushy Wood near Hailsham.

Our team consist of up to 35 plus staff working across three sites. A full season runs from March to November. The range of roles include: Royal Yachting Association, British Canoeing and British SUP Association, Archery GB, and other land based activity coaches required for delivering courses and sessions to our clients across all sites. We require an experienced and professional Senior team member to be a part of the team at Buzz Active, at our Cuckmere site as paddle sport lead instructor.

Cuckmere site - Paddle Sport Lead Instructor.

You will be responsible with centre managers for the daily operation of the Cuckmere site.

Leading the paddle sport team in the delivery of quality sessions and courses to the clients, as well as actively leading and coaching sessions.

Monitoring and feedback of the team members performace, including ongoing mentorship.

Maintaining the fleet of equipment.

Booking clients, taking monies and overseeing the popular hire concession.

Liaising with the senior team to ensure the quality of delivery of products and services remains high.

Buzz Active can offer Continual Professional Development (CPD), with courses and training. We run in-house and externally provided instructor training course each season including DI, WI and PBI, Links with BC coach trainer, Archery leader, site specific climbing, Air Rifle instructor and more coming soon.

You will have use of equipment subject to availability, launching conditions and personal ability during opening times. You will be a part of a friendly and enthusiastic team of instructors and coaches across three fantastic environments.
