SLL is a registered charity and one of the UK’s leading leisure trusts. We currently work closely in partnership with local authorities in Hertfordshire Bedfordshire and Rutland to manage 22 leisure and cultural facilities across 12 towns.

We are currently seeking a qualified, enthusiastic and motivated Centre Manager, with excellent communication and customer care skills to lead the team within the Multi Activity Centre situated in Fairlands Valley Park, Stevenage. Your main responsibilities will be to manage the provision of high quality outdoor activities both on land and water for various schools, groups and individuals.


The ideal applicant will have Senior Dinghy Instructor, Powerboat and High Ropes qualifications as well as a good background in administration tasks including a familiarity with Microsoft Office and electronic booking systems. 


Your role will primarily be to manage the facility but also to work in partnership with all internal stakeholders, ensuring their site needs are met. Strong leadership skills are required in order to contribute fully to the development of the centre, including recruitment, sales, staff training and operational development. 


You should have financial and budget management experience, excellent leadership skills and experience of working with a range of stakeholders. You will also have a thorough understanding of Health & Safety legislation within the leisure environment. 


You should hold appropriate leisure management qualifications including first aid certifications.
