Activity Residential Support Worker

New Forest Care ARC (Activity Residential Care) Service

 

Location: Positions in the Romsey and Landford Area, nr Southampton, Hampshire

Salary: Up to £30,753 Depending on experience and qualifications

Contract: Full time, permanent, 51 hr week, working in approximate pattern of 3 days on 3 days off and you will stay at work for those 3 days sleeping in.

Week 1: Mon, Tues, Sat & Sun

Week 2: Wed, Thurs & Fri

We engage our young people through a programme of adventurous activity and outdoor education that our staff team either facilitate or participate in.

We work with challenging young people through short term (3 month) programmes building self-esteem and confidence supporting transitions on into long term placement and education. We have an AALA registered centre with onsite activities as well as working in collaboration with other local providers and sites.

While based in Romsey, Hampshire area we run expeditions all over the country from Cornwall to North Wales using camping, bothies, bivvies’ and cabins and prospective staff will need to be flexible, open to new experiences and enjoying working in the outdoors and have some experience of working with challenging young people or in challenging environments.

Due to our consistent expansion and growth we are looking for dynamic and compassionate people to join our team!

Requirements of the role:

Guide and individually support young people in relation to their individual needs

Provide safe and unconditional care and support to the young people in our care

Take all reasonable care to safeguard young people and staff members

Support or lead where appropriate a wide range of activities/daily tasks

Support and promote a positive safeguarding culture

Encourage and support our young people to develop social emotional and practical life skills

Experience in a care setting and a diploma level 3 in Child Care is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided!
