Carnegie Great Outdoors at Leeds Beckett University are a leading provider of outdoor education, adventure activities and leadership development. We operate across our University, and externally working with academic staff and students, groups, charities, military and corporate clients in the UK and overseas.
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Principal Learning Support Officer (Outdoor Education) to join our team. You will play a key role in the design and delivery of our undergraduate and post graduate curriculum, supporting teaching, research and contributing to an excellent student experience.
Your work will include the delivery of adventure activities, with responsibility for managing staff, equipment and resources. The right candidate will have opportunities to act as Course Director, Technical Advisor, Coach or Instructor on selected Carnegie Great Outdoors’ programmes.
We are keen to see highly experienced and qualified applicants who have a proven track record of delivering outdoor education and adventure activities, with impactful results. Applicants should thrive in a busy team environment and be prepared to work flexibly throughout the UK including evenings, weekends and overnights, often over an extended period.
