If so our Level 3 Outdoor Activity Instructor apprentice programme could be just for you and is a great way to kick-start a rewarding career in the outdoor industry.
On your 2-year journey with us you will gain skills, qualifications and the confidence to run a variety of outdoor activities. Supported by a dedicated, experienced staff team, our apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to gain a variety of in-house and nationally recognised industry qualifications such as:
§ Activity First Aid
§ Archery GB instructor
§ BC Level 1 Paddlesport Instructor
§ MIAS Level 1
Based on the beautiful south coast, Avon Tyrrell works with a huge range of groups and offers a variety of onsite activities, enabling you to develop a broad range of skills and experience.
In addition to a personal development plan including a variety of NGBs additional benefits include:
- 40 hours per week
- Year One Salary - £8840
- Year Two Salary - £18,000
- Access to affordable onsite single room accommodation
- 35 days paid leave per annum (including bank holidays)
- Meals whilst on duty
- Basic staff uniform.
To apply you will need to:
§ Be aged 18+ on entry
§ Have a friendly, enthusiastic personality and a can-do attitude
§ Be happy to work outside in all weathers
§ Be willing to undergo training and learn new skills, including water-based activities and working at height
§ Understand that this is not a 9-5 job, following a varied working pattern you will be required to work some weekends and evenings.
To complete your apprenticeship, you will also need English and Maths at Level 2, those candidates who do not hold these qualifications on entry will need to complete this (with our support) during their apprenticeship.
