Experienced Freelance Outdoor Facilitators
University of Central Lancashire (UCLan)
The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) are looking for experienced freelance (ad-hoc) outdoor facilitators to extend their Outdoor Delivery Team for the delivery of their team development and leadership programmes, primarily (but not exclusively) to UCLan students.
Single day and residential courses are based from the UCLan Preston campus, North Wales and West Lakes.
Delivery of outdoor programmes and/or classroom-based training sessions.
Depending on your qualifications and experience, you will be delivering a range of outdoor activities which may include problem solving, paddle sports, gorge walking, raft building, climbing, hill walking, mining / caving etc
Promoting and enabling personal and team development opportunities.
Active maintenance of equipment to ensure the ongoing safety of clients and staff.
Strong interpersonal skills
Experience of delivering team development and leadership programmes
Desired qualifications include at least 2 of the following: Moorland / Lowland Leader, Mountain Leader Award, BC UKCC Coach Level 1, Rock Climbing Instructor, Climbing Wall Instructor, Local Cave Mine Leader Award, First aid (16 hour).
A driving Licence with D1 / D1E is not essential for Preston based work, but highly desirable for North Wales and West Lakes work
