Cook, Ardèche

£331.17 per week + Meals and Accommodation

Immediate start – 39 hours over 6 days

PGL is the UK's leading provider of residential activity holidays and study courses for young people. PGL is synonymous with learning outside the classroom in a framework of fun, safety, and achievement. We’ve been giving young people the adventure of a lifetime since 1957 and now operate at 23 outdoor activity centres across the UK and France.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Cook to join the team at one of our beautiful Ardèche based activity centres. What better way to spend your summer than working in this stunning part of the South of France, exploring the beautiful local areas in your time off. Looking for further employment? We can also guarantee further work in the UK on your return.

The catering operations at our activity centres are modern enterprises set up to deliver meals which excite our guests and staff as much as their outdoor adventure experiences. We want you to build on your experience and help us continue to drive standards. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your catering skills, including cooking, ordering, accounting for stock and staff supervision.

What do we look for in our Cooks?

  • Experience of working in a catering environment.
  • The ability to deliver high levels of customer service.
  • A positive approach to team working and problem-solving.
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Successful applicants are required to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure, which PGL will pay for. You need to possess the legal right to live and work in the UK to be considered for employment with PGL. PGL is committed to the principles of equality and diversity and welcome applicants from all sectors of the community.

To apply, please send a CV and covering letter detailing to Emma Lacey at
