Location: North Cornwall; no onsite accommodation
Part-time Cook, permanent position; with time to participate in activities and train towards NGB Qualifications
Cook required for outdoor activity centre offering traditional home cooked simple food. Daily Set Menus for groups of clients.
You will be required to cook set meals (under supervision to begin with) and clear up whilst maintaining the kitchen hygiene needs in accordance with Safer Food/Better Business Plan, which is currently at the highest level (Level 5). Food Hygiene Certificate required, but training can be given.
You will be required to work split shifts daily: (approx. shift times)
Morning 7.30-9.30am – breakfast and preparation of packed lunches
Evening 4-7pm - dinner
Includes bank holidays and weekends when required, but not every weekend.
You may also help with housekeeping, maintenance, gardening etc outside of these hours to increase paid hours

Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate would have previous professional cooking experience with Food Hygiene Certificate.
25 Hours per week, split shifts. £8.00-9.50 per hour, depending upon experience and age (NLW)
You will be paid monthly in arrears; this is a permanent contract with the possibility of further at NVQ Level 2 Professional Cookery or equivalent after 6 months successfully in post.
There is also the possibility of some outdoor activity experience with our team and training towards NGB qualifications for the right candidate.
