Start Date: 1st April 2019

End date:  29th September 2019

Application Deadlines: 4th March 2019

Hours: Full Time, Fixed Term 35 hours per week

Wage: £15,834 (£8.70 ph)-£17,290 (£9.50ph) Pro Rata


What the position entails

BF Adventure are looking to recruit a team of Instructors to support the delivery of its busy summer programmes.  Our Level 2 instructors are very active in group delivery and take on more responsibility for a group of staff, equipment and group management than our short seasonal instructors

BF Adventure is a small charity set in Cornwall who use outdoor pursuits as a medium to engage and positively develop young people, people with disabilities and adults.  We require a team of energetic and committed people to join the existing team, receive training and fully engage by delivering activities, supporting programmes and assisting with the safe running of a busy outdoor centre.

BF Adventure is committed to safeguarding children and the successful applicant will be required to provide / complete an enhanced DBS check.

Person Specification


·       Minimum of 2-3 seasons of instruction, industry specific training or youth work


Essential Skills and Qualifications

·       Lead instructor capable with groups up to 120

·       BCU level 1 coach

·       Able to pass BFA climbing level 3 or have CWA

·       Zip wire experience

·       Problem solving experience

·       Ability to draw out learning objectives from activities with a large range of groups

·       Water confident to be assessed to lead quarry steering

·       Ability to pass MIDAS

First aid qualification
