Day Camp Leader Volunteers
To support and provide group leadership, pastoral care and assist in the instruction of children participating in the Day Camps summer programs.
Duties and main Responsibilities
To ensure that Day Camp children are safe, secure and well taken care of during their day camps programme, including on bus journey from their parents to Lakeside and on the return journey.
To contribute positively to the aims and objectives of YMCA Lakeside
To assist and provide support alongside Lakeside qualified instructors
Adhere to all relevant Health and Safety regulations and the Centre polices and activity Standard Operational Procedures.
To remain with allocated groups always other than short arranged breaks.
Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of equipment and the Centre
Demonstrate high standards of behaviour always with reference to safety, quality of supervision, language and time keeping.
To be involved in maintenance and clean up duties as required
Carry out any other duties as requested by the Senior Management
To be an active member of the staff team.
Build good working relationships with all staff.
Build good working relationships with all children in their care
To attend all relevant staff meetings.
Special Requirements and Environmental Factors
To have a flexible approach and be willing to carry out further functions and roles as required by the Day Co-ordinator and Centre Senior Management Team.
