Freelance Climbing Instructors / Expedition Leaders - Adventure Expeditions and Adventure Expertise (Peak District + UK) - £130 to £160 per day

Freelance Climbing Instructors / Expedition Leaders

Adventure Expeditions and Adventure Expertise

Adventure Expeditions and Adventure Expertise are looking to expand their team of freelance instructors thanks to significant new work on climbing activity-programmes in the Peak District and DofE expeditions UK-wide. Adventure Expeditions is a leading provider of DofE and outdoor-activity programmes in the UK and our sister company, Adventure Expertise, is a well-respected provider of skills courses & guiding in summer and winter, NGB courses and outdoor activity courses. Successful applicants with the relevant skills would have the opportunity to work on a variety of these programmes. Our offices and training base are in Hathersage, in the Peak District, so ideally candidates would be local to here and also willing to travel. Instructors who live elsewhere and are willing to travel should also apply if interested (50% of our freelance team live outside the Peak District and our work is UK wide).

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: We are looking for minimum qualifications of RCI / ML (Ideally both), 1st Aid, DBS and experience of working on DofE programmes / DofE Assessor very desirable for those instructors looking for DofE/ML work. We are also looking for people with the RCI/MCI/WMCI awards to expand the Adventure Expertise Freelance team.

PAY: Our standard rate for all DofE work / RCI work in 2021 will be £130/day (plus travel for DofE work at 12.5p/mile to and from your home address). Work on more technical courses is often paid at a higher rate e.g. £160/day on winter programmes/NGB’s.

RESPONSE PROCESS: Please contact me on , attaching an up to date CV and I’ll get back to you with further details.

Please include in the email a summary of the sort of work you’re interested in and your availability, e.g. Full-time freelance or have other work commitments to work around.
