Multi Activity Instructor – Summer Camp 2020

High Adventure

 

Job Description:

High Adventure currently run Summer Camps in 5 locations across the country which, combined, can host up to 1500 visitors each week.

We offer activities and programmes for primary schools, secondary schools and NCS students, which (site dependant) include:

·         High Ropes

·         Archery

·         Bushcraft

·         Navigation Exercises

·         Team building Exercises

·         Some Water Sports

We are looking for talented and passionate multi-activity instructors to be a vital part our summer camp team. These roles are all on a residential live-in basis, working Monday to Friday each week.

The role is ideal for aspiring outdoor instructors or anyone with a genuine passion for the outdoors, who would also like to gain valuable experience working with children.

We will provide full training in each of our on-site activities plus in-house first aid training prior to being in charge of groups.

Duties include but are not limited to:

·         Working closely with Camp Managers to ensure service delivery

·         Setting up, managing and running activity sessions

·         Managing equipment

·         Limited domestic duties

Working on our summer camps is the best way to into our highly successful and popular trainee instructor scheme which runs from January every year at our main site in North Yorkshire. The scheme provides aspiring instructors with the relevant training and qualifications to further them exponentially in the outdoor education industry.

Locations:

West Lancashire, North & South Staffordshire, Cheshire and Worcestershire

(100 + positions available - minimum age 18)

 

Benefits:

£175 per week + full board camping accommodation + training + meals + camp fees paid + first aid training 1st SEASONAIRE

£200 per week + full board camping accommodation + training + meals + camp fees paid + first aid training 2nd SEASONAIRE

£225 per week + full board camping accommodation + training + meals + camp fees paid + first aid training 3rd SEASONAIRE

Contract dates/lengths:

KIBBLESTONE: Staffordshire

June – August 2020 (Includes 2 Weeks Training)

FOREST CAMP: Cheshire

June – August 2020 (Includes 2 Weeks Training)

BEAUDESERT: Staffordshire

June – August 2020 (Includes 2 Weeks Training)

TAWD VALE: West Lancashire

June – August 2020 (Includes 2 Weeks Training)

PIKES POOL: Worcestershire

June – August 2020 (Includes 2 Weeks Training)

Although Contracts are offered based on location, it is sometimes necessary to move staff from one camp to another based on client numbers.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with groups and skills in one or more areas of outdoor activities.

If you can handle living in a tent for the length of the contract through good weather and bad whilst still turning up for work happy and enthusiastic every day, then you are the right person for this job!
