Instructors for 2020 Season - Ridgway Adventure (NW Highlands) - £19,240pa pr (£370pw) to £22,880pa pr (£450pw)

Instructors for 2020 Season

Ridgway Adventure

NW Highlands, Scotland

Ridgway Adventure, established 1969, is a family run Adventure School on the shores of a remote sea loch in the northwest Highlands of Scotland. With the mountains and sea literally on the doorstep we run high quality adventure courses for schools, summer camps and bespoke expeditions for adult groups. Hill walking, wild camping, sea kayaking, rock climbing, survival skills, wild swimming, survival overnight on an island and more.

Each year we recruit a staff team who join us for the full summer season, usually from the end of April until early September. The Adventure School becomes their home for that time with accommodation and food included.

We look for a team with complimentary skills and experience who will revel in working in this beautiful and remote setting and can commit to the full season. Most of our clients have been coming to us for many years because of the great experiences that we, and our staff team facilitate for them. Having the right people is fundamental to this.

We look for staff with some of, but not necessarily all of the following;

  • Summer Mountain Leader
  • Rock Climbing Instructor

  • BC Sheltered Water Coach (Kayak) with some sea kayaking experience OR BC Sea Kayak Leader
  • Also useful; A trailer (+E) driving entitlement
  • Commercially endorsed RYA Level 2 Powerboat (coastal)
  • Any form of sea, surf or coasteering life-saving qualification.

Remuneration is based upon qualifications and experience, from £19,240pa pro rata (£370pw) to £22,880pa pro rata (£450pw)

Work to the full scope of your qualifications leading adventures in the mountains and on the sea and experiencing the buzz of life at the Adventure School.

Please refer to for more details and how to apply.

We expect applicants to have looked carefully through our website and have a good understanding of what we do.
