This role offers the opportunity for career development within a friendly team for someone wishing to specialise in expedition leadership and enhance their wider skills within the outdoor industry.

AE offices and training base are in Hathersage, Derbyshire, in the heart of the Peak District National Park and a short drive from Sheffield. The role will be based from Hathersage but will also entail in the region of 85 days on expedition at different locations across the UK with the potential for occasional overseas programmes.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: AE requires personable, confident, well organised instructors who share our commitment to delivering high quality programmes that are both inspirational and give the chance to experience real adventure. A genuine commitment to caring for the experience of every individual worked with is essential.

Minimum requirements: Summer ML, 1st aid, DBS, full driving licence, experience of working on DofE programmes.

Desirable: Ability to self-manage, teaching experience, logistical admin/office experience, other outdoor qualifications/experience – specifically the RCI award or higher.
