Seasonal Instructors (2020) - Essex Outdoors - £15,925 pa pr

Seasonal Instructors

Essex Outdoors

Join our seasonal team in 2020 for a rewarding and memorable summer.

We’re looking for enthusiastic and motivated team members, who love working with young people and in the outdoors.  As a Seasonal Instructor with Essex Outdoors, you’ll run a wide variety of outdoor activities for our diverse range of customers. From Problem Solving and Archery through to Sailing, Paddlesport and Climbing, there is plenty to keep everyone busy.

Our centres

Bradwell – Our coastal sailing and powerboat centre. A season here could see you out on the water, leading sessions on the beach or biking around the peninsular.  Bradwell also offers a residential package for our instructors

Danbury – A large multi activity centre that will see you aerial trekking, caving, canoeing and quad biking to name but a few.

Harlow – Our urban day centre that specialises in Climbing and Paddling and is home to “The Lock” – a 14-metre high indoor climbing centre.

Mersea – A coastal location and our largest centre.  Mersea offers a huge range of activities; zip wire, ‘Giant swing’, two obstacle courses and an aerial adventure course and new paddlesport lake,  to name but a few. Mersea is also the place to enjoy a staff residential package.

Training and qualifications

You don’t need to have prior experience as an instructor to come and work for us.  We’ll provide all the training you need to be a productive and valued member of our team. Some staff also get the benefit of completing nationally recognised qualifications with us.  This means that you could end the season with a Powerboat certificate or a qualification in climbing or paddling depending on what ‘floats your boat’

Year-on-year we have staff that come back to work another season with us and from time-to-time career opportunities do become available. To start with we offer a range of flexible fixed term contracts that vary between 4, 6, 8 and 10 months in duration.

Salary: £15,925 per annum pro-rata (£8.25 per hour)

Location: Bradwell, Danbury, Harlow, Mersea Island

Closing date: 31st March 2020
