Are you an enthusiastic team player looking for a new challenge in 2020?

Longtown Outdoor Learning Trust is looking for a part-time Outdoor Learning Tutor to strengthen our established team. The Trust’s 70-bed residential centre is situated in the beautiful Herefordshire village of Longtown on the eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park.  It has excellent facilities set in 16 acres of private grounds and is located between the eastern edge of the Black Mountains and the River Monnow.

This exciting opportunity has resulted from the expansion of our summer operation and an increased range of activity delivery throughout the year.  This is a part time post comprising 780 annualised hours, including some evening and weekend work.

The centre’s outdoor learning tutors act as course directors and take full responsibility for leading adventurous activities at a range of remote locations across the Brecon Beacons National Park.  Applicants must have at least two year's experience of leading / coaching outdoor adventure activities and a sound understanding of relevant issues in safety and outdoor education.  Applicants must hold a current first aid certificate, a full driving licence (with D1e) and at least two relevant NGB awards (Paddlesports, Caving, Rock Climbing, Hill Walking).  Experience of bushcraft and field studies would also be welcomed.

Excellent organisation and communication skills are expected and an enhanced DBS check will be required for successful applicants.

For further information contact Mike Fawcett / 01873 860225.
