Trainee Tutor Role
Situated near Kendal in Cumbria, Bendrigg Trust is an outdoor education centre specialising in working with disabled and disadvantaged people. As its mission, Bendrigg aims to promote inclusion, encourage independence and build self-confidence through the safe provision of adventurous activities.
We have two vacancies for Trainee Tutors for 2020. This is a one-year scheme for people of any age wanting to gain skills, qualifications and experience working in the outdoors with people with disabilities. Trainees will be inducted and trained to work with Bendrigg groups and will work towards National Governing Body awards. The successful candidates will have some previous experience at outdoor centres and have, or be working towards, some NGB qualifications. Experience of working with disabled people and a driving licence (held for at least 12 months) will be an advantage.
Accommodation in a shared house will be available if required.
If accommodation is required, £100 per month will be deducted at source

Interviews: Thursday 21st (activity day) & Friday 22nd (interview day) November 2019
Contract dates: 1st January 2020 to 31st December 2020
£ 697.13 gross per month (salary levels are reviewed on an annual basis)
