Part Time Outdoor Learning Assistant - Nottingham

Location: Nottingham Girls' High School

Contract: Part-time (0.6), Full-Year

Salary: GDST Support Grade 3 - £22,500 - £25,500 pro rata.

Start date: January 2023

The role:

We are looking to appoint a well organised, creative outdoor learning enthusiast to join our friendly and busy Outdoor Learning Department.  Reporting to and working alongside the Head of Outdoor Learning, you will be responsible for assisting with the day to day running of the department and act as the focal point and co-ordinator of the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) award scheme. Additionally, you will support the planning and delivery of a multi-faceted Outdoor Learning enrichment and curriculum programme.

Events and activities may be on or off site and some, will include some weekends away at peak times mostly, as part of the DofE programme but in a pastoral role.  You must therefore be able to work flexibly and manage your time accordingly.  Whilst we are not expecting you to be an Outdoor Learning expert, we seek someone with an enthusiastic and proactive approach who enjoys working outdoors, wishes to learn and maintains a good level of physical fitness, given the nature of the job.
