About the role

Salary: From £23,805 - £24,797 per annum | Annual Leave: 39 days | Hours: 42 pw | Term: Ongoing (seasonal, variable & freelance roles also available)

The Outdoor Instructor role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced candidate to join a passionate team based at a well established Outdoor Learning Centre in the heart of the Chilterns.

You will facilitate a wide range of activities to support the growth, development and education of young people and adults who visit us. You will have a passion for learning outside of the classroom and be dedicated to delivering that experience at Woodrow. You will deliver outdoor sessions such as low ropes, bush craft, high ropes, archery; sports sessions including cycling skills; as well as problem-solving activities, arts and craft, and environmental activities. Some essential qualifications are expected, others can be worked towards and will be supported by London Youth, as appropriate to your role.

Important Note Regarding Qualifications
We welcome applications from those looking to change career. For an exceptional candidate the qualification requirement may be less; but we require that they demonstrate sufficient personal or voluntary instructional experience in the activities listed, and we would have to be satisfied that they could quickly gain a qualification in several of the outlined areas. We also welcome applicants who don’t meet the qualifications or experience criteria but are interested in our instructor trainee scheme.

 

Key Information

Salary: £23,805 - £24,797 per annum

Hours: 42 hours per week – this role requires evening and weekend work

Term: Ongoing (seasonal, variable & freelance roles also available)

Annual Leave: 39 days per annum (31 days, plus 8 bank holidays)
