Casual Instructor/Freelancer at The Deanfield Outdoor Centre:

The Deanfield Outdoor Centre in Parkend, Gloucestershire, GL154JA is looking to add an additional casual instructor/freelancer to our staff team.

We are particularly keen to appoint an experienced canoeing instructor with D1+E (and preferably MIDAS) to run mostly flatwater sessions. If you also have a minimum of Mountain Training CWI then there is also work available on our climbing tower and high ropes course.

Rates of pay are £150-175 for full days and £95-120 for ½ days including holiday pay.

Depending upon your employment status we can employ you as either a casual member of staff or as a self-employed freelancer, subject to HMRC ESI approval.

An enhanced DBS and outdoor first aid qualification are obviously also required.

There are additionally some Bushcraft and Archery sessions available for someone suitably experienced/qualified.

This position will suit someone within an hour drive of the Centre. Most days are individual ones and so unfortunately no block bookings to suit a ‘travelling instructor’ from further away. Most dates are booked months in advance.
