Location: Top Secret Location, South Devon (nr Ivybridge).
Salary: £28,000pa pr

Activities Manager (Seasonal) with The Bioasis
Usual Working Hours: 40hrs per week, five days out seven (typically Monday – Friday though occasional weekend work may be required). 2 nights per week requirement to be on-call overnight to provide support should any issues arise onsite.
Location: The Bioasis, Top Secret Location, South Devon (nr Ivybridge). Occasional travel to Head Office (Exeter) may be required.
Contract Type/Length: Fixed-Term Contract commencing Monday 5th February 2024 to Friday 27th September 2024.
Salary: £28,000p.a. pro rata
Pension: We contribute to staff pensions in line with our obligations under the workplace pension scheme.
Holidays: 25 days per year plus bank holidays, (full time pro-rata). Opportunity to take holiday during our operational season (Late May – July) will be limited, there will be time outside of this period for annual leave.
Accommodation/Food: Food is provided whilst camps are running, and visiting groups are in. Meals outside of this time are not provided. Overnight duty accommodation is available on-site.
Reporting to: Operations Manager or in absence, Company Directors
About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, dynamic and unique outdoor education company. We are looking for an individual with experience within outdoor education and a good working knowledge of supervising camps and residential school trips. You will be a fast-thinker, well organised, have hands on experience of session and programme delivery to young people and be motivated at inspiring the next generation.
About The Bioasis:
Set up in 2020 following the COVID pandemic, The Bioasis is about inspiring the next generation to engage with nature and to teach them how we can protect it. We work on a beautiful 5000 acre private estate that is rich in wildlife. 2022 was our first year working with schools on a broad capacity. We are AALA licensed, full members of BAPA (British Activity Providers Association), Learning Outside the Classroom Badge Holders and Adventure Mark registered. We are also IOL members.
As a start-up, we have the opportunity to develop and deliver an exciting programme that challenges young people whilst supporting them to grow as individuals. We are not just about programme delivery though; we want to be an industry leading employer and that means management need to go the extra mile to support our staff.
