We are seeking climbing and multi activity instructors to come and join our team at Lower Grange Farm Kent Scouts Activity Centre for full time, part time and zero hour positions.
Lower Grange Farm is set in 38 acres of fantastic land on the outskirt of Maidstone in Kent purchased in 2009 as an agricultural complex, it has grown to now include excellent indoor climbing facilities, conference spaces, Traditional Kentish Barn and camping facilities where we offer a range of outdoor activities to Schools, youth groups, private individuals and corporate customers.
Due to our continued growth and development Kent Scouts Activity Centre is seeking climbing and multi activity instructors. The centre operates seven days a week throughout the year, we offer flexible working hours and continued personal development to meet the needs of our customers and employees.
Applicants should have an interest in outdoor sports and activities, be able to demonstrate a wide variety of skills, communicate well with young people and be a great team-player. You will be delivering a range of activity and development programs to a variety of groups and individuals such as school enrichment programs through to GCSE climbing assessment, youth events, NICAS awards 1 – 4, Scout taster activities, FITA arrow awards and lots in between.
Kent Scouts is one of the biggest mixed youth organisations in the county. We change lives by offering 6 to 25-year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities.
You must be flexible, hardworking and a team player who will enjoy working in a busy outdoor learning centre environment. Previous experience is not required but you will, ideally, hold at least one of the following:
· CWI/CWA (ideally with a Abseil endorsement)
· GB Archery Leaders Award (GNAS)
· A Walking qualification; such as BEL/WGL/ML/LLA
· NSRA instructor award
This role offers excellent opportunities for progressing professional skills and gaining further qualifications. A full DBS disclosure and proof of right to work in the UK will also be required.
