Sharing Best Practice
The AFA Conference is a networking opportunity for providers who have a specialism or interest in outdoor activities for people with disabilities.
Location: Calvert Lakes, Little Crosthwaite, Keswick, Cumbria CA12 4QD https://www.calvertlakes.org.uk/
The programme will include:
- sharing knowledge with other organisations and practitioners within the sector
- a tour of the Calvert Lakes site
- practical workshops such as; Accessible Climbing Harnesses, Water Safety and Moving and Handling in the Outdoors
- general social and networking opportunities.
PLEASE NOTE..... a delegate at the conference this weekend has an extremely severe airborne nut allergy. Therefore, we ask that delegates to the conference do not bring any walnuts into the centre due to the risk to life it poses.
Accommodation is 2-4 bed ensuite rooms. Delegates may be asked to share with others (same gender)
Please indicate on the booking if you have special dietary needs.
