Our two day, 16-hour outdoor first aid course is perfect for outdoor leaders, mountain leaders, scout leaders, teachers and youth workers. A wide range of National Governing Body Awards recognises our outdoor first aid course. Including Mountain Training UK, British Canoe Union, British Cycling, Mountain Bike Instructors’ Award Scheme (MIAS), Scottish Rafting Association and Sports Leaders UK. The Institute for Outdoor Learning accredits the course at Band 3.
Perfect for those working and leading groups outdoors. During the course, you will learn the necessary skills to deal with a range of emergencies in a remote environment, up to two hours away from help. You’ll gain an understanding of a variety of medical conditions and how, as a first aider, to treat them. As a result, you will have a strong understanding of the role and responsibility of a first aider. Above all, developing the skills to minimize the impact of the environment on the casualty.
