Venue/Presenter Biography

Leeson House Field Studies Centre, located on the outskirts of Swanage, is a secluded and comfortable residential centre providing tuition to a range of school ages and universities from the UK and abroad. The Centre strives to provide a stimulating learning experience for all groups, including specialist outdoor learning courses. The centre is close to many classic geography, geology and biology fieldwork sites along the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and is set in 7 acres of inspiring and diverse grounds.

Leeson House is part of the Dorset Outdoor Education Service which itself is part of Childrens Services within Dorset County Council. Celebrating its 50th anniversary of being a field studies provider in 2017, the centre is delighted to host the PDE again after hosting the first ever NAFSO event in 1969 and also organising and facilitating the same event in 2000.
